CHAT ‘BOUT CLEVELAND HOSTS 2ND ANNUAL CRISS LIST AWARDS BASH
Awards show highlights local Caribbean based businesses

Chat ‘Bout Cleveland and Cleveland Reggae Sounds presents the 2nd Annual Criss List Awards Bash on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Caribbean Flavor, located at 321 Babbitt Road in Euclid Ohio. .

Developed in 2008, The Criss List highlights the ‘best of the best’ of local businesses, music and events in Cleveland’s Caribbean Community. Winners of these awards are selected by online voting through www.chatboutcleveland.com.

Chat ’Bout Cleveland is an online resource connecting the city’s Caribbean community to its businesses, news and events. Since 2006, Chat ‘Bout Cleveland serves as a resource to those new to or visiting the Cleveland area. Chat ‘Bout Cleveland is also connected with other Caribbean communities such as Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago and New York.

“We are truly excited to have an opportunity to produce this event for a second year”, says Drue Thompson, CEO/Publisher, Chat ‘Bout Cleveland. “We know the collaboration with Cleveland Reggae Sounds will be productive as we move forward to build on the success of last year’s event.”

Cleveland Reggae Sounds is devoted to the promotion of reggae sounds in the Cleveland area. Started in 2009, CRS supports Cleveland’s music community through promotion of events, photos as well as liaison for the artists for bookings.

The 2nd Annual Criss List Awards Bash will be hosted by 2008 Best Sound winners Organik Sound with live performances by 2008 Best Local Artist winner, Sunshade, Best Local Band Winner, Umojah Nation and Jah Messenger.

This event will also feature brief presentations by House of Stylz, Knitwear by Attalah, Diva Purses and Twinz Beauty Supply. “We wanted to encompass all aspects of Cleveland’s Caribbean business”, says Alicia Hollinger, Marketing Coordinator of Chat ‘Bout Cleveland. “This event will give these establishments an opportunity to reach new clientele by showcasing their products.”

Admission to the 2nd Annual Criss List Awards Bash is $5 in advance (tickets sales) and $10 at the door. Red Carpet entry for the event begins at 6pm followed by the awards show at 7pm. The event will end at 10pm.
